Let the kids lead the way! From on-farm fun with pumpkin picking to trick-or-treating around town, these day-time activities are perfect for the young ones and young at heart.
Chappell Farms’ Fall Festival
Seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm until October 31st
Explore the Chappell Farm’s playground, meet some adorable barn animals, pick your own pumpkin, get lost in a corn maze, and be amazed by the festival’s magic show!
Weekdays: $13.50 per person | Weekends: $15.00 per person | 23 months and under are free.
Hewitt’s Fun Farm Pumpkinfest
Friday to Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm until October 29.
Bring the little ones out for some fun, fresh-air activities including corn mazes with hidden games, exciting farm-inspired playground equipment, and pumpkin-picking straight from the Hewitt’s Farm pumpkin patch.

Witch’s Workshop
October 21, from 1 pm to 3 pm
Calling a little witches and wizards aged 5-12, join us at OMAH for a half-day, Halloween-themed event! We’ve transformed our studio into a spooky workshop, where our friendly witch will guide participants through various activities and crafts, and maybe even teach a few potion recipes, or magic spells! Costumes are encouraged, all materials will be provided.

Trick or Treat Coldwater Village
October 21, 10 am to 2 pm
Stop by the beautiful village of Coldwater in your costume for some trick-or-treating and fun surprises! Events for the day will include a kids costume contest, pet costume contest, and trick or treating Coldwater’s historic businesses.

Trunk or Treat
October 28, 1 pm to 4 pm
It’s back! Welcome to the 4th Annual Trunk Or Treat proudly brought to you by the TheBigEvent.ca and the Orillia Youth Centre with special thanks to our friends at ODAS Park and Giant Tiger. Collect candy while Trick-Or-Treating from Trunk-To-Trunk during this daytime event in the fields at ODAS Park. Featured cars will be dressed in their own costumes!

Halloween at Wye Marsh
October 29, 10 am to 2 pm
Calling all Ghosts, Goblins, Fairies, and creatures of the night! Put on your Halloween finery, pick up a “passport” then explore our trails at Wye Marsh. Meet a variety of well dressed woodland “spirits”. Collect five or more stamps, and show your passport for a sweet treat in the Visitors’ Centre.

Spooktacular Fun
Make this Hallowe’en one to remember! See spooktacular displays, get active on the water and learn about the region’s creepy past. Great for friends to get in the spirit…and maybe be visited by some spirits.
Haunted Halloween Hop-Yard at Quayle’s
Every weekend from October 14 to 29, 12 pm to 8 pm
Check out the haunted hopyard at Quayle’s Brewery this October! Free and fun for all ages, this event coincides with the brewery’s Live From the Loft music series. Enjoy great food, great brews, and special autumn fun.

Spooky Stroll
Tuesday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 31, select times.
Join us for a “Spooky Stroll” through downtown Orillia’s eerie past. On this guided walking tour, we’ll embark on a journey through the Halloween-y happenings that have occurred right here in our own city. We’ll visit the locations of strange deaths, mysterious passageways, and occurrences that can’t be easily explained away. And who knows? We may just be visited by some ghosts of Orillia’s past.

Halloween Projection Show

Ghost Walks on The Leacock Museum Grounds
October 20, 21, 27, and 28, at select times.
For those who love a good haunting, what better place to host a ghost tour than an old historic building such as the historic Leacock home? Tours will feature tales of haunted happenings throughout the years on the property. Please dress weather-accordingly as this tour takes place outside. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies after the tour is over.

The Family Crow: A Murder Mystery

Internationally celebrated puppeteer Adam Francis Proulx brings his award-winning solo show to the Orillia Opera House this Fall! A group of crows is called a murder. What happens when there is a murder amongst a group of crows? You get a MURDER murder mystery! Directed by Canadian Comedy Award-winner Byron Laviolette, and starring UofW grad Proulx, this hilarious murder mystery puppet show is the perfect way to get your spooky season started this October.
