Orillia & Lake Country is quickly becoming the culinary capitol of cottage country, with unique dining experiences focused on sustainable food tourism, summer’s harvest season is blooming with flavourful options.

Local chefs have been hard at work, collaborating with local producers and preparing specialized seasonal menus, ensuring not only the freshest of flavours, but also encouraging a sustainable movement supporting local farms directly.

Featuring an all local menu, prepared by local culinary favourites, Chef Melanie of Eclectic Cafe and Catering, Chef Paul of Laforet Catering, Chef Sarah Jones beer tasting with Quayle’s Brewery, and hosted by Glen Oro Farm with Lauren Andrew Events.

Bring your walking shoes as we will be splitting-up into groups and travelling across the property on foot to experience 5 different food stations, ending with grazing stations, live music by The Carl Bray Duo and a cash bar in the Reception Tent.

At Rawley Resort in Port Severn, the luxurious Lighthouse25 Restaurant has been redesigned in celebration of the resort’s 100th Anniversary, which included a complete make over to the menu. Leveraging the on the expertise of Eco-Chef Chris Locke, formerly of Toronto’s first farm-to-table restaurant Marben, the menu in the new Lighthouse45 draws heavily from the ‘farm-to-table’ philosophy. Sourcing ethical ingredients from local farms, butchers, wineries, breweries, and suppliers, as well as incorporating seasonal dishes and closed-loop zero waste processes wherever possible.
