We are the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, a proud progressive First Nation community. We have approximately 1,800 members with about half living on reserve. Throughout our history, we have been known as a caring, sharing people, and our Chippewa territory, “the gathering place”, where travellers rested before continuing on their journey, where great meetings were held and important agreements signed. From the earliest of times, our people have been entrepreneurs, artisans, craftsmen, hunters and fishermen. We later operated as guides throughout the area for tourists, marketing crafts, produce and services. Please, visit Rama First Nation and learn more about our rich and vibrant culture.
