Children’s Candlelight Parade & Tree Lighting
Kick off the holiday season with one of Orillia’s most heartwarming traditions, the Children’s Candlelight Parade! Watch as little ones light up the night with glowing candles and joyful smiles, marching through downtown in celebration of the season. The parade ends with the magical Tree Lighting in front of the Orillia Opera House, filling the air with festive spirit, carols, and community cheer. Bring the family, bundle up, and experience the wonder of this cherished holiday event!

Hardwood Ski and Bike is thrilled to once again be offering our famous Moonlight Snowshoe and Fondues! Join us for 1 or both of these magical nights. January 3, 2026 January 31, 2026 Enjoy an evening you will remember for years to come. Your night begins with check-in where you'll be grouped together by speed/experience, and be guided to The Lookout. Enjoy the fire and best view with a hot drink and treat. Make the journey back to the Chalet, which has been transformed into a spacious dining room with live music. $135 per person (Early Bird registration $117 until 3 weeks prior to your preferred date) **Registration closes the Wednesday prior to each event at midnight. Late registration is subject to a $25 late fee**
