The Traveling Wilburys — there’s never been a supergroup in rock history like them! In the 1980s, George Harrison (The Beatles), Tom Petty (The Heartbreakers), Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra), and Bob Dylan combined their artistic forces to create two mega albums, launch a slew of hits including “End of the Line,” “Handle with Care,” “Tweeter and the Monkey Man,” “Last Night,” and “Not Alone Anymore,” and land a Grammy win in 1989. But one thing they didn’t do, much to the dismay of their world-wide fan base, is tour. That is until now…
In honour of the 35th anniversary of their first album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, The Traveling Milburys re-create and capture the unprecedented talent, excitement, and magic of The Traveling Wilburys’ music and the songs that made each bandmate a rock legend. You’ll hear The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” ELO’s “Telephone Line,” Roy Orbison’s “You Got It,” Bob Dylan’s “My Back Pages,” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “Runnin’ Down a Dream” and many more!
The performance is complete with authentic costumes and instruments to recreate the Wilburys look and sound, as well as an accompanying video production featuring nostalgic footage and vintage elements from the Wilburys era. From the opening chords to the final encore of this energy-packed and hit-filled evening, you’ll see why this is, without a doubt, the world’s greatest tribute to the world’s greatest supergroup, The Traveling Wilburys.
