We have all talked about “family trees.” Now here’s a chance to look at “tree families” in a new light.
New research suggests that trees form communities, linked together by a subterranean circuit of mycorrhizas that are used to pass along chemical alarm signals, nutrients and even hormones to neighbours.

What to bring: Sturdy footwear, layered clothing, camera, binoculars & field guides can be helpful. This experience will be entirely outdoors, so please dress for the weather!
