What Are the Ontario Winter Games?

The Ontario Winter Games are a bi-annual province-wide multi-sport event that gives young athletes (ages 12-18) the chance to compete in winter sport disciplines while experiencing the community energy of a large-scale sporting celebration. Close to 2,800 participants are expected to compete across the two weekends of the Games. This is a developmental stepping stone for Ontario’s future sport stars – many athletes use the Games as a platform to progress toward national and international competition.
