A Winter Yoga Tradition for a Great Cause

Winter in Orillia offers endless ways to embrace the outdoors, and one of the most unique experiences of the season is the Annual Outdoor Snow Yoga Experience: SNOWGA. Presented by Sunrise Yoga Studio, and in its 10th year, this beloved community event invites participants to bundle up and flow together in the fresh winter air, all in support of The Sharing Place. Held on the Grounds of the Leacock Museum at 50 Museum Drive in Orillia, this year’s event takes place on Sunday February 1st at 1:30pm. Reserve your spot here.

Led by instructor Rosanna Shillolo, this special outdoor class features a Vinyasa-style yoga flow, designed to keep bodies warm while connecting breath, movement, and nature. The practice ends with playful snow angels followed by a grounding meditation, creating a moment of calm, joy, and connection.

Participation is by cash donation, with 100% of proceeds benefiting The Sharing Place Food Centre. The Sharing Place is a vital Orillia organization that provides support to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Through programs like food hampers, community meals, and outreach initiatives, The Sharing Place works to ensure everyone in our community has access to nourishment and dignity, making this event an opportunity to give back while doing something good for yourself.

Following the class, participants are invited to continue the connection with an optional après-yoga gathering at Fare Restaurant at 2:30 pm, the perfect way to warm up, refuel, and socialize.
