Get ready for a weekend filled with music, tradition, community, and Scottish pride as the 48th Annual Orillia Scottish Festival returns from July 17–19, 2026. As the longest continuously running festival in Orillia, this beloved event brings together generations of families and visitors to celebrate Scotland’s rich culture in the stunning waterfront setting of Couchiching Park.
The festivities begin on Friday, July 17, with a lively ticketed Ceilidh at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34, kicking off the weekend with music, dancing, and great company. Get your tickets here.

On Saturday, July 18, Couchiching Park comes alive with a full day of entertainment. Vendors open at 9:30 a.m., followed by the colourful Scottish Parade at 12:00 p.m., travelling from Peter Street down Mississaga Street to the park. Opening ceremonies and the spectacular massed pipe bands begin at 12:45 p.m. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy Highland dancing, Scottish country dancing, pipe band performances, artisan and food vendors, live entertainment from Strange Potatoes, community and emergency services tug-of-war competitions, a lively beer tent, and a fun-filled children’s village.

The celebration continues on Sunday, July 19, with the traditional Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan service at St. Andrew’s Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by a closing Ceilidh at the Legion at 1:00 p.m., featuring the Pipes and Drums of Canada and the Kempencelts. While Closing ceremonies are at 5:00pm, the beer tent will stay open until 7:00pm and continue with a World Cup Viewing party. A yet to be determined match starts at 5:00!
