Community Fest 2026: A Celebration of Culture, Connection, and Community

Community Fest 2026: A Celebration of Culture, Connection, and Community

There is something powerful that happens when a community comes together with openness, pride, and a shared sense of belonging. That is the heart of Community Fest 2026, hosted by the Orillia and Area Black Community Association (OABCA) at Couchiching Park in Orillia July 11 from 12-7pm.

Community Fest began with a simple but meaningful question: where can our community gather to truly feel like we belong? In response to that need, this event was created to build connection, celebrate culture, and ensure that people of all backgrounds; Black families, newcomers, long-time residents, and neighbours alike, have a space where they feel seen, welcomed, and valued.

4th Annual Community Festival - July 11: 12-7pm

Today, Community Fest has grown into a vibrant, family-friendly cultural celebration that brings together local vendors, artists, performers, community organizations, and families from across Orillia and Lake Country. It is a day filled with music, food, laughter, creativity, and meaningful connection.

What makes this event unique is not just what happens during the day, but why it exists. Community Fest is built on lived experience and community need. It is a space where people bring their full selves, stories, traditions, food, talents, joy and share them openly. Over time, it has become a reflection of what is possible when a community shows up for one another.

Throughout the day, visitors can explore vendor markets, connect with community booths, enjoy live entertainment, and take part in activities designed for all ages. Children can enjoy dedicated programming in the Kids Zone, while families and friends gather to experience everything from cultural showcases to interactive community engagement.
