Music Row Magazine – Nashville, TN

Kenny Hess has been deeply involved in the music industry since the early 80’s when he started performing for a living. Born in Outlook, Saskatchewan, he began traveling the country at just 15 years of age, singing the songs of such greats as Charlie Pride, Don Williams and Merle Haggard. It wasn’t long before Kenny was singing his own songs and sharing the stage with those very same iconic artists along with Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and so many more.

Kenny has had a very successful career with 13 Top 40 songs and 14 critically acclaimed albums to his credit. He has also been nominated for Canadian Country Music Awards, and has won several BC Country Music Awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Most notably among these awards, Kenny is the 8 time Traditional Country Artist of the Year and received the Entertainer Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. By 2015 Kenny was called back home to BC where he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame
