Looking for a way to celebrate Canada Day in style? Head to Orillia, Just 90 minutes from the GTA, for a spectacular waterfront celebration at Couchiching Beach Park. On July 1st experience a day filled with free activities, vibrant parades, delicious food, and family friendly fun, in the heart of Ontario’s Sunshine City.

This event is put on by volunteer run organization Orillia Canada Inc. Since 2003 their mission has been simple: create an event that’s free, fun and inclusive for everyone, while celebrating the rich heritage of our great country. This year the celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever offering an exciting line-up of events throughout the day. Whether you are coming with family and friends or on your own, there is something for everyone!

This epic day of fun will include:
Pancake Breakfast – 8am – 12pm – Main Pavilion
Enjoy pancakes, local maple syrup, sausage, and choice of juice or Tim Hortons coffee, for just $10 per person.
Vendor Village – 9am – 5pm – Terry Fox Circle
Bring the family and do some shopping down at the park. Most vendors will be here from 9am – 5pm. Some vendors may stay open until the Fireworks.
Wheelie Great Parade – 10:30am – Terry Fox Circle
Decorate your bikes, trikes, wagons, skateboards, wheelchairs, scooters and more and be part of the Wheelie Great Parade through the Terry Fox Circle! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is at 10:00am at the Information Tent. The first 100 kids get a free goodie bag filled with surprises for participating!
Street Parade – 12pm – Downtown Orillia
Don’t miss the marching bands, performers, floats and fun at the Canada Day Parade! The parade starts promptly at 12pm and goes down Andrew St. turns on to Mississauga Street onto Centennial Drive and disperses at the north park entrance on Jarvis Street.
Opening Ceremonies – 1pm – Aqua Theater
Welcoming everyone to Orillia Canada Day with the raising of the flag, singing of our National Anthem and speeches from our Mayor, MP & MPP, and the Orillia Canada Day Committee.
Canada Day Cake Cutting – 2pm – Main Pavillion
An annual tradition! Come enjoy a FREE piece of one of the many Canada Day themed cakes Mariposa Market has baked, decorated and donated. It is first come, first served until we run out.
Midway – 11am – 11pm
The Midway is returning for 2025! Gable Brothers has partnered with us to bring a selection of rides, inflatables, food and games. Be prepared for lots of family fun! The inflatable attractions are FREE from 11am – 4pm.
Live Music – Aqua Theater
The Sandra Good Band – 11am – 12pm
Ohelia – 2:15pm – 3:30pm
Samantha Windover – 5:30pm – 6:45pm
The Narrows – 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Children’s Village – 11am – 4pm
All children’s activities are free! There will be inflatables, arts & crafts, a photo booth, demonstrations, face painting, super heroes (and maybe some villains!) and much more.
Magic Show – 4pm – Aqua Theater
Don’t miss the Amazing Frank Clarkson Magic Show LIVE at the Rotary Aqua Theatre. Come enjoy a magical performance as the Children’s Village concludes
Beer Garden – 11am – 11pm – Aqua Theater
If you would like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, join us at our Beer Garden near the Aqua Theatre. The Beer Garden is a family friendly spot, but those under 19 will only be admitted if they are with someone 19+.
Food Vendors – 11am – 11pm – Terry Fox Circle
Enjoy all your favourite fun fair foods!
Fireworks – 9:45pm – Couchiching Beach
Don’t miss the main event! A spectacular display of fireworks will light up the sky over the lake, at dusk.

The event runs rain or shine. This year the will be accepting debit and credit in addition to debit and credit, not just cash, for button sales, pancake breakfast and more.
