Celebrating 60 years in business, Mount St. Louis Moonstone is one of the largest family owned ski resorts in Ontario. Located in the stunning hills of Oro-Medonte, just off highway 400, it boasts the highest peeks in the region with 550 feet of vertical drop. Horseshoe Valley Resort
Horseshoe Valley Resort is a mecca for winter fun! For skiers and snowboarders the resort offers 28 runs, 5 lifts, Ontario’s longest beginner’s carpet and a new and improved Terrain Park. Rentals and lessons are available for all levels. If you prefer cross country skiing you will find groomed and track set trails for cross country skiers of any ability level to enjoy. Want to give snowshoeing a try? Horseshoe Resort sits on the edge of the Copeland Forest, where you will find snowshoeing for all levels. On Saturday nights you can take part in a Moonlight Guided Snowshoe that gets you exclusive evening trail access and includes a hot beverage around the bonfires. Or, take on the trails on a fat bike. Snowshoe and fat bike rentals and trails can be found at the Nordic Centre, across the street from the main resort. And if you are looking for a thrill for the whole family, no special skills involved, why not go snow tubing? For some mid-week fun you can enjoy Tubing and Taco Tuesdays, from 4-9pm.

What’s a day on the ski hill without a little Après? Horseshoe Valley Resort offers a variety of dining options to fuel your adventures. The Alpine Cafeteria is located at the base of the ski hill and offers a menu of affordable options including fresh fries, salads, hot soups, sandwiches, snacks and more. Hardwood Ski and Bike
For the ultimate cross country skiing experience, plan a visit to Hardwood Ski and Bike. Immerse yourself in over 40 km of beautiful, rolling trails through hardwood and pine forests. The trail network consists of 9 different loops ranging from 3 km to 22 km. There is a trail for every level of ability, from beginner to elite racer on terrain that ranges from gently rolling to challenging. If you prefer to snowshoe, Hardwood boasts 14 kms of dedicated snowshoe trails for all ability levels. Fat biking is another great option at Hardwood Ski and Bike. They have a dedicated 5km fat bike trail available 7 days a week and you can also fat bike on the cross country sky trails from Monday to Friday.
