The historic Orillia Opera House has a full roster of spring and summer shows to get out and enjoy! Black River Wilderness Park is a family campground that is run and operated by the Chippewas of Rama First Nation along the beautiful Black River which twists and bends throughout the park. With 180 acres of wilderness to surround you, explore the interpretive hiking trails, canoe or kayak down the river, discover Indigenous cultural programming, stock up at the trading post and more. Orillia & Lake Country is home to three Ontario Provincial Parks, each with their own natural landscape to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close to the Orillia area. Bass Lake Provincial Park may only be 10 minutes outside of Orillia, but feels like a full escape to the lapping shores of Bass Lake. Mara Provincial Park and McRae Point Provincial Park are both situated on the shoreline of Lake Simcoe in Ramara and within a 15 minute drive to Casino Rama. Mara has a beach to enjoy the waters of Lake Simcoe with the family. McRae Point has a boat launch and has pull-through campsites for larger equipment.
