Experience Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Orillia Opera House
This November, experience one of William Shakespeare’s most enduring tragedies as Mariposa Arts Theatre brings Macbeth to the stage at the Orillia Opera House. Running November 5–15, 2026, this dramatic production offers audiences an opportunity to enjoy live theatre in Orillia & Lake Country while exploring a timeless story of ambition, fate and the pursuit of power.
Set in a post-collapse world marked by chaos and a return to ancient gods and mysticism, this reimagining of Macbeth brings a dark, atmospheric setting to Shakespeare’s classic tale. When three witches prophesize that Macbeth, Thane of Glamis, will become King of Scotland, a chain of bloody and violent events unfolds. As ambition takes hold and the boundaries between fate and choice begin to blur, Macbeth’s journey raises enduring questions about identity, power and the consequences of our decisions.
