Old growth forests are wooded areas that have been allowed to mature relatively undisturbed. Within Grant’s Woods many trees are up to 200 years old. You can find this 1.9km, rare wonder just outside Orillia, on Division Road between Fairgrounds Road and Uhthoff Line.
The property is also home to Couching Conservancy’s office and the parking lot can be busy during business hours through the week. A $5 per person contribution from those enjoying the Nature Reserve, who aren’t already supporters or members of The Couchiching Conservancy, is requested.
