Take the family to Mystical Lights, presented by the Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce, at Heidi’s Campground in 2023. Experience fun and festive displays put together by local businesses. GEOCACHING

 

Geocaching is an incredible treasure hunt for all ages and there are TONS of caches in Oro-Medonte just waiting to be discovered. There are some rules and guidelines to being a “geocacher”. Here is a great article to get you started in this adventure: Geocaching 101. Remember to dress for the weather AND the terrain (sometimes caches are hidden off trail), bring snacks, water and a car charger for your phone, as the geocaching app is power intensive. Make sure to plan a stop at some local businesses along the way.

HORSESHOE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Suit up and hit the slopes for the day or strap on some snowshoes or cross country skis and explore the beauty of the Copeland Forest in the winter. Let Horseshoe Resort be your home for the holidays and winter break while the kids are out of school! The hills will be open every day from Christmas Eve throughout New Years. From fireworks shows to axe throwing, Horseshoe has an exciting lineup that will entertain every kind of guest this holiday season.

Capture your next social media profile picture while you snuggle one-on-one with an Alpaca. Also, if you are still looking for a gift item, they sell some incredible handmade alpaca products on site.
