A Year Round Celebration of Agriculture

Orillia and Lake Country sits in the heart of Simcoe County at a remarkable crossroads of Ontario’s rural, cottage, and freshwater landscapes, where farmland, forests, and water all shape the experience of place across all four seasons. The region stretches across Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe and reaches toward Georgian Bay, the Trent–Severn Waterway, and a network of smaller inland lakes and rivers that have long defined how people travel, settle, and explore here year-round.

Here you will find a deeply diverse agricultural and rural experience, from mixed livestock and dairy farms to maple syrup producers, beekeepers, market gardens, orchards, and small-batch food makers. The region is also home to craft beverage producers, lavender farms, alpaca farms, and horse riding trails, alongside roadside stands, seasonal farm experiences, u-picks, and local markets that bring people directly to the source of their food and rural creativity. Together, these experiences reflect a strong and growing farm-to-table and farm-to-experience culture rooted in freshness, seasonality, and connection.

This self-guided agritourism map helps you easily navigate the incredible mix of farms, producers, markets, and experiences spread across the region. Instead of trying to piece it together on your own, it turns what could feel overwhelming into a simple, connected journey, helping you discover what is nearby, what is in season, and what makes each stop unique. It is an amazing way to experience Orillia and Lake Country year-round, inviting you to taste what is grown and made here, meet the people behind it, and explore the region not as a drive-through destination, but as a living story of land, water, and local food in every season.
