Join us on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for a Healing Circle led by Paul Shilling Dazaungee in the exhibition space at the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH).
This gathering offers participants an opportunity to reflect on the artwork and writings in relation to their own healing journeys. The Healing Circle provides a welcoming and respectful space for personal reflection, storytelling, and connection.
The circle is a traditional ceremony in which each participant is equal in status. Everyone is invited to speak their truth while others listen with care and respect. There is no cross-conversation or discussion during the circle, and all participants are asked to honour the confidentiality of what is shared.
A smudge with sacred medicines will be offered to begin the gathering, and participants will be invited to hold a talking object, traditionally an eagle feather, while sharing.
All are welcome. Registration is limited to 20 participants to help create a safe and meaningful experience.
