On July 26 & 27th, the scenic shores of Lake Couchiching will transform into a hub of eco conscious innovation, with the return of Green Innovation Weekend. This dynamic family, friendly event is a showcase of clean technology, sustainable solutions and interactive demonstrations. Whether you are a homeowner exploring greener upgrades, a business seeking sustainable solutions, or simply curious about the future of clean living, this free outdoor event has something for everyone.
This eco-conscious event is presented by Sustainable Orillia, a not for profit organization committed to inspiring local communities to embrace sustainable lifestyles. What started seven years ago as a modest electric car gathering in a parking lot, organized by EV enthusiast David VanAlystyne, has since evolved into a full scale event. Green Innovation Weekend now spans a much broader scope, featuring everything from electric boats and e-bikes to green building technologies, heat pumps and energy efficient home solutions. With an expanded line up of vendors and interactive displays, 2025’s event is shaping up to be the biggest and most diverse yet!

Green Innovation Weekend offers a rare opportunity to get hands on with green tech, no showroom required. Here’s what visitors can expect:
- Live project demos and test drives, including electric boats and vehicles – no registration needed.
