Hardwood Ski and Bike has over 80 km of beautiful, rolling trails through hardwood and pine forests for mountain biking. In addition to the 34 km of rolling double track trails, there is an additional 50 km of challenging single track trails that intertwine with the ski trail network creating endless possibilities of courses and obstacles. With learning in mind, Hardwood Ski and Bike wants to make mountain biking accessible to anyone from 4 – 70 years of age. There are trails for every level and ability and lessons/programs in place for everyone from beginners to elite athletes.

Explore Downhill Mountain Biking
At Horseshoe Resort Bike Park
Get ready for a downhill adventure! Our fourteen trails consist of freeride and technical routes. Beginner riders can become comfortable with the diverse mix of trails and terrain, including berms and bridges. More seasoned & expert riders will enjoy that our trails are open come rain or shine, with the perfect mix of sand and dirt trails.
Scenic Cross-Country Trek
at Horseshoe Resort Bike Park & Copeland Forest
The Copeland Forest trails are great for exploring nature at a more leisurely pace with less decline. There are some trails that have hills through the natural landscape but it’s time to put pedal to the forest floor as there are no chair lifts on the North side of Horseshoe Resort. These trails are great for all ages and abilities.
Pedals, Pints & Pubs Tour

2 Days / 1 Night, mix of guided & self-guided. A perfect weekend getaway for recreational cyclists. Day one starts with the Sunshine City Cycle Tour, a sightseeing tour of Orillia’s historic sites and waterfront. It ends with lunch and beer tasting at Couchiching Craft Brewery Co, where the food friendly brews pair perfectly with Chef Brandon Conrad’s menu. Then, explore the town on your own and spend a night at the Champlain Waterfront Hotel or Best Western Mariposa. Day 2, cycle to Quayle’s Brewery in the beautiful neighbouring township of Oro-Medonte. Sit on their patio and enjoy the vista while you eat lunch and taste beer made from their own hops. Simcoe Loop Trail Tour

3 Days and 2 Nights, self-guided with support. Complete the famous 160 kilometre Simcoe Loop Trail over 3 days. Mostly on off-road multi-use flat rail trail, cycle along Georgian Bay, Lake Simcoe, Lake Couchiching, quaint villages and quiet country roads. This is a self-guided and supported trip: we will provide you with the routes and transfer your luggage over the three days, while you cycle at your own rhythm. You can pick any date during the season, and we will confirm availability within 48 hours.
