There are some Ontario experiences that you do not simply attend you feel them. The Rama Pow Wow 2026 is one of those unforgettable weekends where the sound of the drums, the movement of the dancers, the stories shared, and the sense of community come together in a powerful celebration of First Nations culture.
Known as “the loudest and proudest Pow Wow in Ontario,” the Rama Pow Wow returns August 22–23, 2026, at the John Snake Memorial Multi-Purpose Grounds, 6030 Rama Road, Rama, Ontario. Hosted by the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, this annual celebration has proudly welcomed visitors for more than 40 years.

Why Visit the Rama Powwow?
A Pow Wow is much more than a festival, it is a gathering rooted in culture, connection, and tradition. It is an opportunity for visitors to learn, listen, and experience the beauty of First Nations song, dance, art, food, and storytelling.
The energy begins as the drums echo through the grounds and dancers enter wearing incredible regalia filled with colour, craftsmanship, and meaning. The dancing, singing, and drumming are not just performances to watch; they are traditions that carry stories, honour ancestors, and celebrate community.
For anyone who has never attended a Pow Wow before, the Rama Pow Wow is an incredible introduction. Visitors are welcomed to experience the weekend with respect and curiosity, whether you are there for deeper understanding, to watch the dances, explore the vendors, enjoy Indigenous cuisine, or simply take in the atmosphere of this incredible gathering.

What to Expect at Rama Powwow 2026
Over the weekend, guests can experience First Nations song and dance, traditional celebrations, and more than 100 First Nations food, arts, and craft vendors showcasing incredible handmade creations and flavours.
One of the most moving moments of the weekend is the Grand Entry, when dancers, veterans, flag carriers, and honoured guests enter the arena, marking the official beginning of the Pow Wow. It is a moment that invites everyone to pause, show respect, and appreciate the significance of the gathering.
