On Saturday, August 22, from 7 to 10 p.m., Orillia’s Peter Street Arts District will transform into a vibrant, pedestrian only celebration of creativity. This free community event invites visitors to slow down, explore, and experience the incredible talent that makes Orillia’s arts community so unique.
A Night Filled with Art and Inspiration
Whether you’re an avid art collector or simply looking for a memorable summer evening, Starry Night Art Walk offers something for everyone. Stroll through galleries, meet local makers, and discover original works in a wide variety of mediums including painting, fibre arts, ceramics, photography, stained glass, sculpture, jewellery, and more. Some artists will even be creating live throughout the evening, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process.
Live Entertainment Around Every Corner
Art won’t be the only thing on display. As you wander Peter Street, you’ll be treated to live local musicians, interactive art experiences, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the creative community. Take part in the scavenger hunt, finding clues for your chance to win a prize. Add your touch to the collaborative community canvas. Watch talented local painter Claire Lalonde paint a scene of the magical evening as it’s unfolding. And for the first time ever, Starry Night will feature a live Art Battle, where artists go head-to-head creating original works before your eyes, and the public decides who takes home the cash prize!
Treat yourself while you explore! DWN Craft Chocolatier will be open all evening with their irresistible craft chocolate and a tasty selection of savoury snacks perfect for enjoying on the go, alongside some delectable food vendors.

Orillia Museum of Art and History is participation this year. Catch their vintage market running from 11am – 10pm. Browse a curated collection of vintage treasures, handmade goods, artisan-inspired finds, records, home décor, clothing, accessories, and unique gifts from local vendors and makers. Tour the Museum and check out current exhibits including Made in Orillia: The Toys that Built Childhood, From Hand the Heirloom: The Art of Craft, The Many Faces of Paul Shilling: A Retrospective and more. For this special night you can even enjoy a cocktail onsite.
