A foot-stomping, fiddle-flying St. Patty’s Day show with live music, good beer, and a whole lot of Irish luck!
Mar 16, 2025, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Higher Ground (Brewery Bay 2nd Floor), 162 Mississaga St E, Orillia, ON L3V 1V9, Canada
Join us and Orillia’s Trad Session for a foot-stomping, fiddle-flying St. Patrick’s Day Celtic Kitchen Party! The session will be in full swing with traditional Irish tunes and songs, played by a talented gathering of musicians on fiddle, bass, banjo, concertina, bodhrán, and more!
Expect high-energy jigs and reels, soulful ballads, and the driving rhythm of the music to keep the spirit alive. This is a night where the music flows as freely as the pints, and everyone is welcome to clap along, sing out, or even dance a step or two!
Come raise a glass, tap your feet, and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day the way it was meant to be—full of music, laughter, and great company at your favourite local spot!
Playing in our second floor event space, Orillia’s Trad Session is collecting cover: cash at the door, $15 or pay what you can.
About Orillia’s Trad Session
The circle/session is a dynamic and diverse group of musicians brought together by a shared love of traditional Celtic music. With players spanning generations, backgrounds, and experiences, we create a space where music is more than just sound—it’s a living, breathing connection to the past, present, and future.
Our sessions are rich with the energy of fiddles, banjos, concertinas, bodhráns, bass, and more, weaving together tunes passed down through time. This tradition of sharing music—person to person, heart to heart—is at the core of what we do. It’s not just about playing; it’s about honoring history, embracing the moment, and carrying these melodies forward for generations to come.
Through music, we celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, the beauty of connection, and the joy of shared experience. Our sessions are a testament to the power of tradition, the warmth of community, and the magic that happens when people come together through song and tune.
