As we navigate these uncertain times the province gave the green light for certain sectors to open shop. This is great news for the region and many of its businesses.
Golf:
Golf is one of the quintessential summer activities and Orillia & Lake Country is not short of golf courses. With dozens of golf courses scattered throughout the region there are ample opportunities to enjoy some golf fun.
Many of the region’s favourite golf courses such as Hawk Ridge Golf Club and Horseshoe Valley resort were open last weekend and golfers were able to soak up the sunshine for an amazing weekend of golf.

Marinas:
Orillia & Lake Country owes its name to all the lakes dotting the landscape. It goes without saying that boating is one of the biggest activities in the region. Ideally located along the world-famous Trent-Severn Waterway and with Lakes Simcoe and Couchiching at the heart of the region, there is no shortage of marinas to dock your boat.

Did you know that you can social distance while still enjoying the outdoors? Well, the Lake Country region has dozens of trails that are ideal to both social distance yourself and immerse yourself in nature.

Many restaurants around the region adapted quickly to COVID-19 and started offering takeout and delivery options right from the start. Now more restaurants have started offering similar options to serve the region and its many customers.
