As the leaves fall to the ground and pumpkins can be found around every corner, a chill has entered the air that’s more than just the changing of the weather. Witches walk through the village, spirits come out to play and there are tasty treats for all to enjoy.

Witches Month in the Village of Coldwater
on until October 31
You’re invited to fly your broom around town & have your passport stamped as you shop & dine! Remember to climb into your witchiest clothes all promos are for in costume witches. “Witches Shop Here” is posted on each store that is participating which is also where you can pick up passports and keep an eye out for the Witches Shop Photo Opp!
Spooky Stroll with the Orillia Museum of Art & History
Friday October 29, 2021, Tours start at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30
Fun for all ages
Cost: $10 per person ($5 for members, children under 12, and seniors)
This October join your OMAH guide as they lead you around Orillia’s hair-raising, historical downtown. Your guide will take you on a journey back in time to explore Orillia’s eerie past, including OMAH’s own jail cells. And who knows? We may even meet some ghostly visitors! This event is fun for all ages. Tours are 1-hour in length. Sign up for a time slot.
Monsterfy Yourself with the Orillia Museum of Art & History
Saturday October 30th, from 9:00am-12:00 or 1:00pm-4:00pm
For ages 5 – 11
OMAH presents “Monsterfy Yourself!” a half-day Halloween-themed program for kids ages 5-11. Join Cassy McKendry, a veteran prop-maker who specializes in monster props, as she guides the class through creating their very own monstrous disguise. Students will spend the class creating a Halloween mask, decorating a trick or treat bag, and practicing for the big night by trick or treating around the museum, all of which will culminate in a spooky photoshoot. You will not want to miss out on this ghoulishly good workshop! Costumes are encouraged. All materials will be provided.
Trick or Treat at Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers Market
Saturday, October 30th from 8:00am to 1:00pm
Fun for the whole family Saturday, October 30th at the Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers Market! The first 100 kids to enter the market in costume will receive a free bag to go trick or treating around the market’s vendors!
Witches on the Water SUP Party with Sunrise Yoga Studio
Saturday, October 30th at 1pm
Swap your broomstick for a paddle! Celebrate Halloween with something different and join Sunrise Yoga on the water for a fun witchy time on SUP boards!
Bayview Wildwood’s Boathouse of Terror
Sunday, October 31st Open House, 1-3pm
Families are invited to join us at Bayview Wildwood Resort for some Halloween Fun. Drop in any time between 1 and 3 pm and we will be collecting donations to support our local food bank. Our Haunted Boathouse is open for ages 6+ if you dare! Explore the Resort and our BW Market is open to purchase treats, Hot Chocolate, wine and spirits and Kawartha Dairy Scooped Ice Cream. Relax around our lakeside bonfires and enjoy a complimentary s’mores.
