The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Revised)
By Adam Long, Daniel Singer, Jess Winfield
Directed by Doug Ironside
Wednesday, June 29, 2022-July 7, 2022
Last summer, The Leacock Home provided a picturesque backdrop for Mariposa Arts Theatre’s spirited production of Twelfth Night. Now, the players are back to take on a different approach to The Bard in the Yard.
Why see just one Shakespeare play when you can see them all in 97 minutes? Three players take on the challenge of romping through tragedies, romances, comedies and histories in the guise of Juliet one minute, Othello the next, then on to a little sword play. You don’t have to be a Shakespeare aficionado to appreciate the flagrant fun and spontaneous action of this parody of the world’s most well-known playwright. Think ‘Coles Notes’ version of a whole lot of dramatic works. Who knows what will happen next?
Mariposa Arts Theatre is thrilled to be partnering again with The Leacock Museum, taking advantage of the scenic backdrop of Stephen Leacock’s home on the shores of Lake Simcoe.
Tickets: $30.00
