This event will feature competitions in the mogul\, dual\nmogul\, slopestyle\, and big air freestyle skiing disciplines. Competitors will primarily be\nbetween the ages of 10 and 17. These athletes will have traveled from all corners of\nthe province to compete at this event. Come watch some thrilling freestyle action as\nthese competitors charge down the mogul course on Horseshoe’s Flying Mare ski run\,\nand fly through the air in Horseshoe’s newly designed Outlaw Terrain Park.\nThe Provincial Championships are the final event of the season within Freestyle\nOntario’s Timber Tour competition series. The Timber Tour is a series of provincial\nlevel freestyle competitions hosted at various ski hills across the province\, as well as\nin the Gatineau\, Quebec region. Ontario’s top club level athletes will compete at\nHorseshoe in hopes of earning the title of Provincial Champion. Their results will help\nthese athletes earn points that contribute to their provincial ranking. These rankings\nare used to select athletes for future national level competitions\, as well as Freestyle\nOntario’s Ontario Team and Development Squad programs. As such\, Freestyle Ontario oversees the province’s Olympic streamed\nathlete\, coach\, official\, and judge development pathways\, supports a network of\nmember clubs located across Ontario\, and runs all freestyle events that are part of\nthe sport’s Olympic pathway. Freestyle Ontario\, in partnership with Ontario\nSnowboard\, are currently in the process of building a new downslope airbag and\ntrampoline athlete training facility at Horseshoe.
