DESCRIPTION:“The Coulson Concerts” is back for a third season of great Canadian music. This folk/roots series is presented in a quaint historic church in Oro-Medonte. It is located in the hamlet of Coulson at 301 Horseshoe Valley Road W.\, and hosted by local singer-songwriter Anne Walker. \nThe venue: This little white church has stood watch at the top of Coulson hill on the Horseshoe Valley Road for over 140 years. The church\, built in 1881\, was closed as a place of worship in the 1960s and recently restored preserving many original features\, including an ornate Victorian tin ceiling\, pews\, plank flooring\, a cast iron and nickel-plated stove\, and the original pulpit. Coulson Church provides an enchanting setting in which to enjoy authentic Canadian music. \nGathering Sparks\nSunday\, July 27 2pm \nYou will come to listen\, and walk away singing. GATHERING SPARKS is the graceful collision of Eve Goldberg and Jane Lewis—musical friends who blend tight harmonies\, finely crafted songs\, and a love of participatory singing to create an intimate and uplifting experience. Their inclusive approach embraces folk\, pop\, blues and gospel influences tastefully played on acoustic guitar\, piano\, accordion\, and ukulele. \nWith their infectious mix of styles and compelling vocal blend\, Gathering Sparks has been making some big waves.
