This is an exhibit about acknowledging change from one state to another, specifically in reference to our gardens.
Chris revels in the colour and life found in these gardens, as they grow and change
through the seasons. Her photographs allude to the garden, it’s marvels reinterpreted into magical images, themselves full of joy and movement.
David has focused more on the decay that happens in every garden. His assemblages are constructed with objects left behind, each with their own attached memories. Yet within a new arrangement these pieces set up a challenge for the viewer to create fresh stories and find alternative feelings.
BEYOND THE FENCE encourages us to expand our view outside the box, further than the frame and reap the exciting ideas that lie there.
